RULES & REGULATIONS
The Padelside Open Vol. 2 · May 29–31, 2026
General
General rules
1
Eligibility
All participants must be registered and have paid the full registration fee before the registration deadline. Players must bring valid ID (KTP/SIM/Passport) on match day for verification. Each player may only register in ONE category. Playing in multiple categories is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification of both pairs.
2
Registration
Registration is per pair (2 players). Fee: Rp700,000 per pair, per category. Payment must be completed via transfer within 24 hours of registration to secure the slot. Slots are confirmed only upon receipt of payment. Deadline: May 20, 2026. No refunds after May 15, 2026. Pair substitutions allowed up to May 22, 2026 (same category, level verification required).
3
Level classification
The organizer reserves the right to reclassify players to a higher category if their level is deemed inappropriate for the registered category. Players found sandbagging (intentionally under-representing their level) will be disqualified without refund. Level disputes must be raised before the tournament draw — not during the event.
4
Court & equipment
All courts comply with standard padel dimensions. Tournament balls provided by the organizer (new can per match at QF and above; 1 can shared per pool match). Players must bring their own rackets. Rackets may be inspected for compliance. Court shoes with non-marking soles are mandatory — failure to comply will result in a match forfeit.
5
Conduct
All players are expected to behave with sportsmanship. Verbal abuse, racket smashing, or unsportsmanlike behavior will result in a warning, then game penalty, then disqualification at the referee's discretion. The referee's decision is final in all on-court matters. Any disputes must be raised calmly with the head referee.
6
Punctuality
Players must report to their assigned court 10 minutes before scheduled match time. Failure to appear within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time will result in a walkover (W/O) loss. No match rescheduling will be accommodated during the event.
Match rules
Match format
Pool phase (group stage)
Format: Best of 3 sets. Each set played to 6 games. Tiebreak at 6-6 (first to 7, 2-point lead). Super tiebreak (10 points) in the 3rd set if required. No-ad scoring: at deuce (40-40), the receiving pair chooses which side to receive. Golden point decides. Time limit per pool match: 75 minutes.
Knockout phase (QF, SF, Final)
Format: Best of 3 sets, full sets (no time limit). Standard scoring with tiebreaks at 6-6. Super tiebreak (10 points) replaces 3rd set at QF and SF. Final: Full 3 sets (no super tiebreak) — played to completion.
Pool standings tiebreaker (when pairs are equal)
1st: Head-to-head result · 2nd: Set ratio (sets won / sets played) · 3rd: Game ratio (games won / games played) · 4th: Games won total · 5th: Drawing of lots.
Pool structure
32 pairs per category → 8 pools of 4
Each pool of 4 plays a full round robin = 6 matches per pool. Top 2 from each pool advance to knockout (16 pairs). Total knockout bracket: R16 → QF (8 pairs) → SF (4 pairs) → Final (2 pairs).
Category-specific rules
Per-category requirements
U17
Open U17
Both players must be born on or after June 1, 2009 (maximum age 17 as of May 29, 2026). Valid birth certificate or ID must be submitted at registration. Any gender combination allowed. A legal guardian must be present during registration and may be required to sign a consent form. Matches scheduled with 15-min buffer between rounds for welfare.
LBM
Lower Bronze Men
For male players new to competitive padel or at entry-level competitive. Players who have won a Bronze-level or higher category in any official tournament in the last 12 months are ineligible for this category. Both players in the pair must qualify as Lower Bronze level.
BM
Bronze Men
Standard Bronze level, male pairs. Players registered here may not also register in Lower Bronze. Bronze-certified or self-declared bronze level accepted, subject to organizer review.
MX
Fix Mixed Bronze
Mandatory composition: exactly 1 male player + 1 female player per pair. Gender must be as registered. Both players must be Bronze level or below. This is a fixed pair — substituting gender composition at any point results in disqualification.
WB
Women Bronze
Female players only, Bronze level or below. A player who competes in Mixed Bronze may also compete in Women Bronze (two-category exception applies to women only in this instance). Bronze level eligibility follows the same standard as Bronze Men.

Your current position
Instagram @thepadelside
941
Followers · 11 posts · 9 following
Low posting frequency is holding you back. 11 posts is not enough to build algorithm momentum. Instagram should be your conversion channel — where people book after discovering you.

TikTok is clearly your viral engine. The pre-opening teaser proved it. Double down here for tournament awareness — it reaches people who have never heard of you.
Key insight: you're the only padel court in Condet / East Jakarta area.
Raia Padel is your closest East Jakarta competitor at Rp300k/hour. Your positioning advantage: community tournament culture, not just premium court rental. The tournament Vol. 2 narrative ("Vol. 2 is bigger, Vol. 1 was just the beginning") is your hook.

📱
Assign 1 person as "content operator" for all 3 days
This person does NOTHING except film and post. Short TikToks every 2 hours. IG Stories every match. They are not helping with logistics — only content. This is how Vol. 2 becomes a recruitment video for Vol. 3.
🎯

Best rallies (slow-mo) · Winner celebration reactions · Crowd moments · Match point · Trophy lift · Player interviews (1 per category winner) · Behind-the-scenes referee/organizer POV · Funny moments (misses, celebrations)
📣
Live update cadence
WhatsApp group (per category): every completed match result within 5 min. IG Story: every 2 hours minimum (score updates + action shots). TikTok: 1 short video each evening — best moments of the day. IG Feed: 1 post each night with standings graphic.

AFTER
THE TOURNAMENT
How to turn 320 players into 320 recurring customers — and set up Vol. 3
48 hours after · June 1–2
Immediate post-event actions
1
Post the champion reveal content — all 5 categories
One reel per category champion. Tag the winning pair. Use the champion card template. Post within 24 hours while the emotion is fresh. This is your highest-engagement content window — winners will share immediately. Stories: post match result cards for every single final result.
2
Send thank-you WhatsApp to all 160 pairs
Template: "Terima kasih udah ikut The Padelside Open Vol. 2! Semoga seru dan berkesan. Hasil bracket + foto akan kami kirim dalam 48 jam. Kamu udah bisa book lapangan dan gabung member kami — link di bawah. Sampai di Vol. 3! 🎾"
3
Send the photo/video package to all registered pairs
Deliver via Google Drive link per category group. If you charged Rp150k for photo packages, deliver within 48h. They will post on their own social — free advertising for you. Add a watermark: @thepadelside on each photo.
4
Publish the sponsor thank-you post
One post per sponsor — tag them, show their branding at the event. They will repost to their audience. This is part of delivering on your sponsor commitment AND getting free reach.
Week 1 post-event · June 3–9
Convert tournament players into members
The "Post-Tournament Offer" — time-sensitive, exclusive to participants
320 players just spent 1–3 days at your venue. Their connection to your brand is at its highest. This is the best moment to sell memberships — not in 3 weeks.
MESSAGE TO SEND (WhatsApp, June 3):
"Hei [nama]! Makasih udah ikut Vol. 2 🎾
Kita lagi buka membership khusus untuk peserta turnamen dengan harga spesial — cuma sampai 10 Juni.
Member The Padelside:
· Casual (4x/bulan): Rp700k → Rp600k
· Regular (8x/bulan): Rp1.2M → Rp1M
· Elite (unlimited): Rp2M → Rp1.7M
Priority booking slot, akses ke latihan coach, dan komunitas padel terbaik di Jaktim.
Mau info lebih lanjut? Balas WA ini 👇"
📊
Publish the tournament highlight video (TikTok + IG Reel)
3–4 minute edited highlight video. Best rallies, ceremony, champion moments. This is your Vol. 3 teaser. Caption: "Vol. 2 selesai. Vol. 3 kapan? Follow untuk tau duluan 👀 #thepadelside #padeljakarta"
📋
Send a short post-event survey to all participants
5 questions max via Google Form. Ask: overall experience rating, what they loved, what could be better, interest in Vol. 3, interest in membership. Use this data for Vol. 3 pitch deck and sponsor reporting.
Setting up Vol. 3
Use Vol. 2 to sell Vol. 3
1
Announce "Vol. 3 is coming" within 2 weeks of Vol. 2 closing
You don't need a date yet. Just drop a teaser: "Vol. 2 done. We're already planning Vol. 3 — bigger, more categories, bigger prizes. Follow to find out first." The moment is fresh, emotions are high, players want more.
2
Build a Vol. 3 waiting list immediately
IG Story poll: "Mau ikut Vol. 3?" → Yes / For sure. Link to a simple Google Form waitlist. Every person who signs up is a warm lead. When you open registration, blast the waitlist first — creates instant FOMO.
3
Produce a post-event media kit for sponsors
Within 1 week of Vol. 2: send each sponsor a 1-page summary: total players, total social reach (TikTok views + IG impressions), photos of their brand at the event, survey satisfaction score. This is how you renew them for Vol. 3 at a higher rate.
4
Create the Vol. 2 "official stats" post
Infographic: total players, total matches played, total pairs, number of cities represented, youngest player, closest match scoreline. This is shareable content AND it builds the narrative that The Padelside Open is East Jakarta's biggest tournament.
